In January of 2016, VF Partners was selected to provide Business Transformation services to the entire California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) as they began their transition to the new California State Financial Information System commonly referred to as the FI$Cal Project. We have been working with 22 of the Agency Departments in a staged process and have gained tremendous experience and have developed methodologies and tools during this process. VF Partners created and utilized a custom developed methodology and a tool set for the Business Process Redesign (BPR) "As-Is"/"To-Be" analysis to apply a streamlined, standardized process and documentation approach, to give CNRA the level of understanding and level of detail.
VF Partners provided a team to support the transition from many different accounting systems to the new statewide FI$Cal integrated financial management system. This methodology and our team’s approach has proved highly successful with 14 departments going live on schedule as of August 2017. VF Partners is working on post go-live conversion, data validation, catch up transactions and operating budget activities for those departments that have gone live to date.

CNRA's mission is to restore, protect and manage the state's natural, historical and cultural resources for current and future generations using creative approaches and solutions based on science, collaboration and respect for all the communities and interests involved. CNRA provides agency oversight for departments like California State Parks, Fish & Wildlife and Cal Fire.
